The 2014 Annual General Meeting of Spinal Injuries Ireland will be held on Thursday 27th of November at 4.00pm in the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone.
We are built on the principles of people working together and supporting one another and we value the many contributions people can give to us, whether this is large or small, financial or by giving of your precious time or expertise. Contact Philip Quinlan for more information on (01) 2355317 or email Philip Quinlan.
A report released (October 2014) by Spinal Injuries Ireland, reveals a high level of exclusion in the employment market for people with a spinal cord injury (SCI) with over 76% unemployed compared to a 35% unemployment rate before injury. A further statistic shows that 40% of people with SCI are living at or below the poverty line.
Spinal Injuries Ireland needs volunteers in order to run a number of our programmes. We particularly need help with our venture and social events. By becoming a volunteer, you will be actively helping someone to feel connected to their community, helping them to regain confidence and to live an active life again.
